April 6th, 2026
Day 3 was definitely frustrating. I followed the strategy exactly, and it still ended up being a losing day. This is the part that gets tough—I commit to the system, and then a loss hits right away.
I did some testing over the weekend, so I’m hoping the drawdown stays manageable. Still, I hate days like this. On the positive side, I executed everything to the letter, so the result simply comes down to the strategy not performing today.
MNQ Chart
Let’s start with what happened today:
The first trade came at 9:10 AM. It looked promising at first but ended in a loss on both contracts, -51.75 each.
The second trade came at 10:25 AM on the short side, and it also failed. It was clear that momentum was down at the time. This resulted in another loss on both contracts, -41.25 each.
The third trade came at noon and was a win on both contracts—one for 64 points and the other for 5 after price quickly reversed.
The fourth trade was another loss. Price tried to push down but failed, resulting in -22.50 on each contract.
The fifth and final trade was a small win, with both contracts closing at +4.50. It was near the end of the day, so I decided to call it there.
With a few minor mistakes, I finished the day down -364.44. Not a great day.
Total Profit: $-364.44
