Today was an interesting trading day. The market started by moving downward, but that didn’t last very long. It quickly reversed and turned into a strong bullish day, with price action that was actually pretty clean for the most part.
What made today particularly interesting was that the setups worked out well. The trades I identified followed through, and their targets were reached. It was one of those days where the strategy was showing exactly what it was capable of doing when the market provided good opportunities.
I did finish the day profitable, so I’m happy about that. However, I was still a little too cautious with some of my entries. I’m continuing to get comfortable with the strategy, and I think some of that hesitation comes from wanting to make sure everything is lining up correctly before committing to a trade.
Looking back at the chart, there were several opportunities I should have taken. The setups were there, the price action was favorable, and the targets eventually hit. Of course, that’s always easier to see in hindsight, but these are exactly the types of trades I’ve been identifying through my backtesting.
The encouraging part is that I’m getting better at recognizing when the market is offering a legitimate opportunity. The frustrating part is that I’m not always acting on it.
Still, I don’t want to overlook the fact that today was profitable. I’m continuing to refine the strategy, build confidence in my rules, and understand which setups are worth taking and which ones are better left alone.
The biggest takeaway from Day 90 is that I need to trust my tested setups more consistently. Being cautious is important, but there’s a difference between managing risk and hesitating when a valid opportunity presents itself.
Overall, a good day. I made money, the strategy performed well, and I have another example of what a clean trending day can look like.
Now it’s just a matter of getting better at executing the trades when they appear.
