June 12th, 2026
This was a rough and challenging day for my strategy. Even though I followed my trading plan and executed each setup as intended, I still ended the day with a loss. The biggest issue continues to be the size of the stop-losses. When they get hit, they have a significant impact on my overall performance, making it difficult for smaller winning trades to offset the losses.
MNQ Chart
This was a challenging trading day, especially with my trip coming up, and honestly, I wasn’t happy with the outcome.
The day started well enough. My first trade hit the target, earning 84 points on the first contract, while the runner locked in only 5 points before stopping out. Unfortunately, that was the high point of the session.
The next breakout trade quickly reversed against me, resulting in a 138.75-point loss on both contracts. That loss set the tone for the rest of the day.
I looked for another long opportunity later in the session, but once again the market failed to follow through. That trade ended with another 112.75-point loss on each contract. My final trade managed to recover only about 14 points, which barely made a dent in the earlier losses.
Overall, it was a frustrating day and a significant loss. Days like this are difficult to accept, especially after following the strategy as intended. Still, losses are part of trading, and the goal now is to review the session, learn from it if there’s anything to improve, and come back with a clear mindset after my trip.
