Day 67 - Five Trades, No Follow-Through

August 24th was honestly kind of a wasted day. The market was mostly sideways and choppy, and nothing really developed into a clean move. Most of the trades ended up losing or getting knocked out, but I only traded MCL and MES, so the overall loss stayed pretty small.

My first trade came around 8:35 on oil and ended up being a loser. The second trade was also on oil, and that one actually worked for a bit and helped me recover some of the earlier loss, although the runner eventually came back and stopped me out.

The next trade was on MES. It looked like price was trying to break out, but it quickly reversed and turned into another loss.

Around 12:15, I took another oil trade, which also ended up losing. My final trade came around 1:25 and was basically a split result—one contract worked while the other gave some of it back.

So, roughly five trades altogether with pretty mediocre results. There just wasn’t much follow-through anywhere today. It was sideways chop for most of the session, and these days are going to happen. The positive is that because I was trading MCL and MES, the damage was limited. Not a great day, but definitely nothing disastrous either.
