In this post, I wanted to get a grasp on summer shoes for men for 2019. I’m heading to Italy at the end of June, and I’m interested in the different current styles available. For me, I would like to find shoes that are more refined and work to elevate my travel style. So I’m going to be looking at different styles available and showcasing the ones I feel are great looks.
I like this style of shoe for travel because they are easy to pack and comfortable to wear. These shoes have a clean cut as well so you can wear them to most destinations and still fit in. More importantly, shoes like Toms are comfortable to wear, and they aren’t too expensive where you feel guilty for getting them dirty. Overall I like a slip-on, and Toms fit the bill if you’re looking for comfortable shoes to wear.
I really like the design of this shoe a lot. It’s still a full-sized shoe with a heel, but it has a cloth material that makes it more breathable than leather. But beyond that, it seems light and airy even with a low around the ankle. This will be a great shoe to wear if you plan to look dressy-casual and great with slacks or jeans.
This shoe would not be for everybody given the color (they also come in different colors), but for the bold type, I love a bright shoe. It’s summery and fun to play with different kinds of colors than the normal ones we see. A low rise oxford is a great look when you’re traveling with more style.
I think these shoes are a good look for a casual type of summer travel. They are flexible and more importantly, breathable with holes at the top of the shoe. These also have rubber soles so you can walk in them all day and come in different colors. A shoe like this is great for that casual travel in a cityscape.
Boat shoes are a bit of a preppy look which I’m into, but I know a lot of men who are not. Nevertheless, I actually don’t own too many boat shoes as they can come off as to bro like. However, I think there are actually great styles in this category, and I think they are great for men who don’t want to wear socks.
White shoes are in, and they represent summer! I think these sneakers are trendy right now and they look great paired with white or dark jeans. I think they are the perfect casual shoe while traveling in a big city and for men who still want comfort.
This shoe kind of hides that is a light, airy shoe and seems more like a solid boot. But if you look close, you can see the holes at the top, and the light rubber sole. This is perfect for the traveler who really don’t want a low rise shoe but still wants a breathable shoe.
If you’re looking for a comfortable travel sandal, I like these type of shoes. They are easily more dressy than your average sandals and work with most outfits. These would be perfect for summer days when it’s hot, and you don’t necessarily want to wear a sock but still want a classy style.
In the past, I wouldn’t advocate getting a running shoe, but more and more they are becoming stylish as travel has relaxed, and shoe design is better. I actually like this design, and it’s perfect for someone who wants comfort from all day walking. Let’s face, sometimes you really do need the right shoe if you’re going to get through a day filled with walking.
A men’s leather loafer is a more upscale look. They are low to the ground but have a good solid grip underneath for plenty of walking. I like that you can wear no socks or really low rise socks underneath and I love that they would easily match with chino shorts.
Overall
Men’s summer shoe choices are getting better every year. And this in term you see more attractive in different types of styles while traveling. Some are more casual while others like to dress it up. The best shoes, while you travel the world, are comfortable ones that work with many outfits!
