About yearly I do a post on travel scarves. I just love them and I think both men and women should travel with scarves. In the past I usually just stuck talking about men’s scarves, but this year I wanted to do both. I also wanted to provide links so travelers could actually buy these scarves.

Signs of Good Travel Scarves

I think many people would be curious about what makes good travel scarves? For me it comes down to these four points:

  • Easy to put away at a moments notice
  • Designed well and matches with most of your style
  • Is functional and will hold up
  • Comfortable and you like it

You want a scarf that will hold up to most travel situations. Many times you’ll be in a hurry and you’ll need to store it quickly. I have listed scarves from inexpensive to pricey, but there is something for everybody here. Below are some of my selections for travel scarves for both men and women for 2019.

Men

The trend in designs for men is darker colors than for women. I’m not sure why that is and although I like dark colors, I say take a chance with color as well. Many of these prints and designs I have listed below come in different colors as well. I love all types of scarves from winter to linen. If you’re interested I did a men’s travel scarf post last year.

Women

The trend in designs for women is to have bright poppy colors, and they’re many more patterns to choose from than what men have. I personally love a type of scarf that will mix and match with all types of outfits while you travel. A nice beige or gray may seem boring, but in many instances they just blend easily with many types of outfits. I love all types of scarves from winter to linen.

Thoughts

Scarves are a fun addition for any traveler and adds a certain style. They also provide protection from feeling too cold or can even turn into a blanket or pillow on long flights. A good travel scarf will be comfortable and mix and match with your outfit. Choose one that fits with your style and have fun with design and color.
