End of Blogging

ShawnVoyage is not dying but it’s changing. I use to think that all I wanted to do is blog but now I can see a future without it. There was a time that I thought there would be money to gain and I enjoyed doing it because it was purely fun to share but I quickly see that blogging is ending as we know it. Nobody really cares that much; I mean I barely have enough time to read other people’s posts let alone make mine.

This doesn’t mean that ShawnVoyage is dead; I will reinvent somehow but I don’t want to blog like I have done. For the most part is it stressful and tedious with pretty much little reward; monetarily and personally. I think I can serve my time better somewhere else, like make a product that serves others.

So you won’t see any new posts from me through my travel blog but I will still have my blog and website up. Perhaps I will write a few entries here and there but nothing like I did in the past. I will see in the future if ShawnVoyage has a place in my life but I think I will use this free time to think of a different ways to spend my time. There is only so much I can do working a full-time job and pursuing other valuable events in my life

I have to say that writing this gives me great relief. No longer will I feel anxious about having to write or feeling like I should be doing always posting. I gave up a lot back in 2015 and the world didn’t collapse and my website didn’t even suffered. In fact, I think people hardly noticed. And that’s okay. Now I have slightly different interests and I had the feeling that blogging was already on its way out. It was only something less than 1% of people could make money from and the rest did it for fun. I love to write but at this point I don’t have time to do it for fun.

But I will leave all my posts up. I think some have great valuable information and I put a lot of hard work into all of them. I’m really proud of them and I want to keep them up. And I’m never going to say never but don’t expect weekly or even monthly posts. I have to take back and do things that will benefit me and this hardly is benefiting me now.

So until later I will still have my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts running. I love to edit videos, pictures and still be apart of the Travel world. But now in a different way.
